V-FORCE Training, February Newsletter

Welcome to this month’s V-FORCE newsletter to keep you up to date with all the latest that the Team have been up to.

A message from Chris…
It’s been a phenomenal start to 2020 with lots of opportunities presenting themselves so early into the year.  We’ve been focused mainly on developing our marketing, website and social media outputs and we’re making superb progress.  We’ve also made great progress with growing the team, expanding the vehicle fleet and doing lots of training, research and development trials.  This is entirely down to the super effort and support from everyone involved.  A huge thank you to you all!
We’re so grateful to have such wonderful people as part of the V-FORCE team.  James Goodwin, Cameron Davies, Jamie Anderson, Tom Milne, Ginge Marshall, Alfie Marsh, James May and Clare Vosper have all been outstanding and have brought such team spirit to V-FORCE.
The team continues to grow and we’re delighted to welcome father and son rally instructors Tim and Ben Cross, racing instructor Andy Holborn and service crew mechanic Jon Hunt to the team and we look forward to working with them very soon.
We’ve been very busy working with the brilliant James May of JamesMayMedia producing some fantastic cinematic clips and awesome moody photos of the fleet in action.  We spent several extremely productive days filming the Evasive Driving, Pursuit, Interceptor and Gunnery course videos.  Not only do they look amazing and perfectly encapsulate the V-FORCE brand, they very clearly tell the story of what each course involves.
Clare has been busy developing the website and it’s really starting to take shape, supported by the marketing expertise and superb videos and photos from James.
Now that we’ve got the website to a good standard we’ll switch focus to our many social media channels.  Clare and James have developed the Google My Business, Facebook and Instagram business pages and we’re well on our way to having them properly established.  That leaves just our YouTube and LinkedIn channels to be developed over the coming months.
Service crew chief Ginge Marshall has done a fantastic job preparing the vehicle fleet including facilitating the testing of the Scooby (1), the Rage Buggy and the recently acquired BMW 330.  Just some minor modifications to a few of the cars plus a couple more vehicles to purchase and the fleet will be complete.
We achieved part of the Evasive Driving Training course instructor training as well as various trials for the BMW Pursuit driving and Subaru Interceptor courses.  We trialled and filmed part of the Vehicle Gunnery course and fired paint from various cars – including the mad Rage buggy.  Full opposite lock power sliding in the Rage while shooting paintballs at a target was so cool!
A few more trial and staff training days will get the Pursuit and Interceptor course programmes optimised for  our events.  The Vehicle Gunnery programme will need some further refining – and that means plenty of “trial” time which is going to be awesome!
The V-FORCE Team were invited to attend the British Forces Resettlement Service (BFRS) event in Aldershot which provides the Armed Forces Community (AFC) with a great opportunity to meet and network with employers as they consider their life and career after military service.

As an ex-Army Officer, I have a huge affinity and an immense respect for our military and it was fantastic to speak with so many service-leavers throughout the day and reassure them that the next chapter of their lives have a host of wonderful opportunities in store when approached with the right mindset.
We showcased our training courses through a series of superb corporate videos on the V-FORCE stand and arranged to have a couple of our fleet – a Scooby and Focus ST – on display in the main entrance.  Our presence sparked a lot of interest, not only for the opportunities we have for Mechanics, Logistics and Range Staff to join our team, but we gained some great collaborative opportunities within the security industry.

Watch this space for ongoing announcements and updates as we grow as a business.  We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon.
